Members of the Texas Women’s Healthcare Coalition are organizations that endorse the TWHC Principles and whom are actively working to achieve its mission. By endorsing the Principles, organizational members agree to be publicly associated with the Coalition. Current members may nominate another group or organization for consideration to the Coalition here.
The TWHC is a nonpartisan coalition of organizations dedicated to improving the health and well-being of women, babies, and families by ensuring access to preventive care – including contraception – for all Texas women.
Our membership includes healthcare, provider, advocacy, and faith organizations from across the state. The Coalition was formed in 2011 in response to major cuts to Women’s Health Programs in Texas. Healthy Futures of Texas was the founding organization for the Coalition and continues today to staff and chair it on behalf of its 88 member organizations.
Coalition Objectives
- Increasing funding for women’s preventive healthcare, including contraception, to fully meet the growing need among low-income uninsured women;
- Ensuring Texas has a strong provider network with the capacity to serve all women in need of preventive health services;
- Supporting innovative new healthcare policies that benefit the health of Texas’ women and families.
