Policy Youth Advocates
Youth Advocates is a youth development program that empowers Brownsville, San Antonio and Dallas teens to become leaders of change in their community through civic participation at local and state levels.
Healthy Futures of Texas engages high school-age youth in outreach, education, and advocacy to increase access to evidence-based sexual health education and to teen-friendly preventive healthcare.
Youth Advocates is a proud member of the Texas Youth Action Network (TYAN), a project of DSHS through Texas A&M University. In partnership with TYAN, Healthy Futures leads the Pod in San Antonio – a group of youth-serving organizations who are building positive youth development strategies internally and across the city. These strategies ensure our programs are relevant, effective, and youth-driven.
