Join Texas Is Ready for a webinar with Laura Zelaya, LCSW, exploring ADHD and trauma and why similar behaviors may have different underlying causes. The session will help participants better understand core presentations of ADHD and trauma-related responses, including how the two can look similar and co-occur.

This webinar has been rescheduled to Tuesday, November 3, at 12 PM CT. If you've already registered, your registration will automatically carry over to the new date. There's no need to register again!

Laura Zelaya, LCSW, is a therapist and founder of Cántaro Therapy Services who specializes in ADHD, OCD, trauma, and other co-occurring conditions. Her clinical work focuses on individualized care while recognizing how identity, lived experiences, and larger societal systems can affect mental well-being. Her background also includes extensive work with caregivers, survivors of violence, and children with disabilities and communication disorders.

Laura will explore core presentations of ADHD and trauma-related behaviors, including where they may look similar and how they can co-occur. Participants will learn evidence-informed, trauma-informed, and neuroaffirming strategies for supporting students, as well as patterns that may indicate a need for specialized evaluation and ways to begin those conversations with caregivers. The session will also share resources for building understanding of ADHD and trauma and supporting students and their families.

The event is free. Continuing education credits, including SW, CPE, LPC, and CHW Uncertified, are available only to those who participate in the live event.
